International basic courses

In Denmark it is highly prioritized that 95 % of all youngsters complete a qualifying education. This means that keeping youngster in education is one of the main targets at AARHUS TECH. At the same time the law says that all educational lines are obliged to offer international activities to the students.

In 2009 AARHUS TECH applied for and received 1mio DKR for international activities in VET basic courses. These activities, including a week's travel to an EU country, should give an international dimension to the curriculum and support the students' interest in fulfilling his/her education. By following the students' further perspective during his/her career at VET in AARHUS TECH, we intend to see if this international dimension helps preventing drop-outs.

The following activities have been carried out at AARHUS TECH in basic courses:

2010 Auto mechanics: 40 students involved in skills-related activities previous to and in Le Mans in France.
