Technical Assistance to complement the "EDF10 Botswana Human Resource Development Sector Policy Support Programme" by strengthening the capacity of the Botswana Ministry of Education and Skills Development
Description
To support the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) over a period of 3 years to improve the quality and efficiency of education in general and to improve the alignment of national human resource development (HRD) to enhance employability and economic benefits. This will be done through strategic level support and monitoring assistance to the MoESD (around 31 months), technical assistance and capacity-building to the National Council (around 26 months), and the development/establishment of a National Qualifications Framework (around 21 months). The assistance will be completed by short-term assistance (around 800 days) to ensure a smooth implementation of the 3 main components of the contract, and to provide capacity building and advisory services in key reform areas in the education sector.
Qualifications
Expected expert profiles:
- Team leader with EDF 10 experience;
- National Qualifications expert;
- Capacity building expert.
General qualifications of experts:
- University degree in a relevant field;
- Fluency in both written and spoken English;
- Experience as Team Leader of EDF projects (for the TL position);
- At least 10 years professional experience in the field of education;
- Professional experience in strategic assistance and support to Ministries and other agencies in the field of education;
- Working experience in Botswana or other Southern African countries.
